Hector Bodré
Hector Bodré
Hair first. Conversation always.
Hector has spent decades behind the chair, and he still treats every cut and every color like it’s the one that matters most. Some of his clients have been sitting in his chair for more than ten years, and they’ll tell you they’d travel a lot farther than Teaneck to keep it that way.
His work starts with structure. A precision cut built to grow out beautifully, not just look good the day you leave. Color that’s formulated, not guessed: he reads your natural level, the warmth underneath and everything your hair has been through, then builds the formula around you. That’s why people bring him the hard stuff too: the color correction, the balayage that has to look lived-in, the cut that finally works.
Every appointment is a conversation.
That conversation is a free consultation, included with every service, and it’s the Bodré standard Hector teaches every stylist through Bodré Academy.
Sometimes you sit down knowing exactly what you want. Sometimes the first thing you say is, “Hector, I don’t know what to do with my hair anymore.” Both are welcome. He’ll ask about your routine, what you’ve tried, what you love and what you’re done with. Then he gets to work.
Hector is also an educator and the owner of Bodré Hair Studio. Through Bodré Academy, the studio’s education program, he teaches stylists color theory, formulation and cutting technique: not just the how, but the why and the when behind every choice. Behind the chair or in front of a class, the standard is the same.
So whoever you book with at Bodré, you’ll receive the same level of excellence.
After all these years, the best part hasn’t changed: the moment someone looks in the mirror and sees themselves again.
